I have heard about Hearst Castle for a long time. People told me it is a very good one day trip option. On Independent’s Day 2017, the temperature was over 100 degree in the Central Valley of California. I decided to take a day trip to the California’s Central Coast where the temperature was at least 20 degrees lower.  I finally visited the Hearst Castle.

In order to preserve the historic site, no private vehicles can be driven up to the hill and the castle.  The Hearst Castle visitor center have different tours for visitors to visit different parts of the castle. The weather in Central Coast was about 20 degree lower than in the Central Valley. The bus drive up the castle was beautiful. I only wished the mountains had been more greener.  I was very impressed with the castle both inside and outside. The castle was huge and beautiful. It sits on the top of the hill. It must took so much work and time to build to castle including create the road to go to the top of the hill.

It was a beautiful in the Central Coast.
