I started at the San Joaquin Air Pollution Control District (VAD) as a Programmer/Analyst II. In the beginning, my main responsibility was to maintain and update its public facing Websites and Intranet. The District has two public websites : valleyair.org and healthyairliving.com.
On a daily basis, I would get website update requests from staff in other departments at the District. I would update the Website content using a HTML editor such as FrontPage 2003 then publish the pages to the server. Then, I would confirm with staff to make sure all contents are correct.
The current valleyair.org Website is written mainly in HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Other technologies also used such as .NET, Ajax, Web Servics and Microsoft Access for different features on the Website.
I have been on Valley Air District’s Website team since I started working for the District. Since I have other projects on hand, my current role on the Websites is to be a backup on Website maintenance when my team members are not available.
