2017 Tulare County Educators of the Year
On Thursday, September 21, 2017, I went to the 2017 Tulare County Educators of the Year award ceremony. The Tulare County Office of Education and Central California Chinese Cultural Center hosted the event in Visalia, California.

I always enjoyed going to this event for several reasons. First, being a teacher is one of the most important jobs in our society. Teachers have put so much work and time into their jobs to educate their students. They should be awarded by our society. Second, the event has been hosted my hometown’s association, the Central California Chinese Cultural Center, for over the last twenty years.

I liked to watch the video stories put together by the Tulare County Office of Education on the teachers, students and schools. I like to listen to the speeches by awards recipients. The prime rib cooked by the cultural center is always delicious.
